New York Governor Andrew Cuomo Reacts to Hurricane Sandy LIVE on Fox News Channel
During Studio B with Shepard Smith, David Lee Miller was reporting on Hurricane Sandy live from Lower Manhattan when he snagged New York Governor Andrew Cuomo for a one-on-one interview.
The governor told David Lee Miller that the main problem facing Lower Manhattan right now is how to remove the water at the World Trade Center site and at the Brooklyn Battery Terminal, "the PATH tubes (the subway that runs from New Jersey to New York) are filled with five-feet of water, the Brooklyn-Battery tunnel is filled, and in the subway tunnels, is where Con Edison utility has many of the wires, transformers etc... So to get the power back on, you have to get the water out of the tunnel."
Cuomo added that the president has allocated the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers that specializes in water pumping to help with the water removal.
