President Obama Remarks on Devastation From Hurricane Sandy
Earlier today on America Live, President Obama commented on the damage from Hurricane Sandy, live from the Red Cross headquarters.
The president started off the press conference by emphasizing that the storm is not over, and that there are still risks from high winds, water and downed power lines.
The president continued, "obviously, this is something that is heartbreaking for the entire nation." He added, "The most important message I have [for those affected], is that America's with you... We are standing behind you, and we are going to do everything we can to help you get back on your feet."
