Karl Rove's Prediction: Mitt Romney Wins 285 Electoral Votes to President Obama's 253
Karl Rove, a former senior adviser to President George W Bush, has made his prediction for the presidential election.
His state-by-state picks are pictured above, as he predicts a Mitt Romney victory in Ohio, propelling the Governor to a 285-253 electoral vote victory.
Check out Rove's appearance this morning as he broke down the numbers with Jon Scott. He said his prediction boils down to Romney's apparent edge with independent voters.
"Nationwide in virtually every single poll (of independents), Governor Romney has been beating President Obama, who won independents by eight points last time around. So if Governor Romney is now leading, even by one point - and he's been leading by an average of seven - that presages enough votes being shifted to shift the election," Rove explained.
