One Journalist's Message to Outraged Retail Workers Ahead of Early Black Friday Hours: "Count Your Blessings, You've Got a Job"
As Wal-Mart and Target employees plan mass protests ahead of Black Friday hours now beginning at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving night, one journalist is weighing in, saying that while he has sympathy for the workers, there are a couple of other things to keep in mind.
"I totally understand where these guys are coming from," said Guy Benson of TownHall.com, "but I also have sympathy for the 12 million Americans who don't have any job right now, and
I also have sympathy for the people who run Target, who're trying to make a profit so they can stay competitive and employ all these people so unemployment doesn't get worse."
He continued, saying that to some extent workers should 'count their blessings.'
"You've got a job. Show up."
