Fired For Having Cancer? California Woman Files Multi-Million Dollar Lawsuit Against Former Workplace
A California woman said she was fired from her job because she had ... cancer!? Susan Vinci-Lucero was a senior executive at a tech company when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She claims that she was fired because her chemotherapy was “disruptive” and her bosses didn’t like that she was constantly leaving.
The company says that Vinci-Lucero wasn’t fired, but that she was the one who resigned. She has filed a lawsuit and is suing the company for six million dollars in damages.
