Families Welcome Victims of Superstorm Sandy Into Their Homes for Thanksgiving

For victims of Superstorm Sandy who have lost everything, this Thanksgiving will be a somber one. One woman is trying to make the holidays a little bit better for those people. Jennifer Kaufman founded “A Place at the Table” which sets up those affected by the hurricane with families who will welcome them into their homes for Thanksgiving.

She joined sit-in host Eric Bolling on Your World to discuss the organization. Kaufman had been volunteering with hurricane relief efforts, but one day she had the idea to start the Facebook page, “A Place At The Table: A Thanksgiving Table Share.”

Kaufman said she has had a great response to the idea and that people are matching up with families on their own because of it. Additionally, people from all over the country have been reaching out about how they can help and what donations they can send.
