Mallory Hagan Talks About Being Crowned Miss America 2013
Mallory Hagan moved to New York five years ago from a small town in Alabama with only $1,000 in her pocket, and now she’s Miss America!
Hagan sat down with former Miss America Gretchen Carlson on Fox and Friends this morning to talk about her crowning achievement.
She said her message to young girls is simple – take the time you need to find your true passion. “It’s okay for you to take time to figure out what your passion’s going to be. And education is extremely important but let’s make sure that you’re going to school for what you want to do and that you have a passion for what you are doing,” she said.
Hagan also talked about her struggles with weight. “It’s something that I struggle with every single day, but it’s really important to make healthy decisions so that you live a longer life.”
