Maryland School Suspends Two Six-Year-Old Boys for Pretend Shooting Game During Recess
Trace Gallagher reported on America Live that two six-year-old boys were suspended from their Maryland school this week for pretending to shoot each other during recess. The boys were using their fingers as guns during a game on the playground.
It's the second such case in Maryland in recent weeks. The school says it legally cannot go into detail about why the suspensions were issued.
"It is frustrating for school systems because
a complete explanation of events cannot be provided due to confidentiality requirements under the federal educational rights and privacy act," the Talbot County Board of Education said in a statement.
The father of one of the kids told a local TV station that the school went overboard with the punishment. Other parents agreed, arguing the suspensions are unwarranted.
What do you think? Did the school go too far?
