Whole Foods CEO John Mackey: Comparing Obamacare to Fascism Was a 'Poor Choice of Words'

Last night, Whole Foods CEO John Mackey went "On the Record" to discuss Obamacare, which he recently referred to as "more like fascism" than socialism.

He received an angry backlash from many Whole Foods customers after the comment and is now apologizing for his "poor choice of words." He told Greta Van Susteren that he did not fully realize the "emotional baggage" that goes with the term "fascism," but further explained his opposition to the health care law, saying it's the opposite of "free enterprise capitalism."

"As the costs go up, you're not required to provide health insurance to part-time workers - those who work under 30 hours - so there's going to be a strong temptation for businesses to keep people under 30 hours,{C}

so they don't have to provide health care for them. So you're going to have a lot more part-time workers and a lot less full-time workers, so you're going to have a lot of people that are underemployed," said Mackey.
