New Evidence to Prove There Really Was Life on Mars?
Scientists say they're finding the strongest evidence yet that there may have been life on Mars.
Physics professor Michio Kaku helped explain how a new discovery is leading to the claims. It all comes after a meteor hit the red planet, perhaps breaking up material buried under the surface. Scientists were then able to gather that material and study it - something that has never been done before, due to the harsh conditions of the surface itself.
The thinking, according to Kaku, is that if we no longer are contained to just looking on the surface of Mars for signs of past life, we may actually uncover concrete proof of its existence. Kaku points out that half of life on our own planet Earth is under our feet ... so the same could follow suit for Mars.
