Appeals Court Throws Out 2 of Casey Anthony's Convictions
A Florida appeals court has thrown out two of four convictions against Casey Anthony. She was convicted of four counts of lying to authorities during the investigation to the disappearance of her two-year-old daughter Caylee.
According to The Associated Press, judges agreed with Anthony's attorneys Friday that two of the charges constituted double jeopardy
, or being convicted more than once for the same crime.
Anthony was acquitted of killing Caylee in 2011.
