Judge Napolitano on Obama's Unconstitutional Appointments: 'When Government Breaks the Law, People Think They Can Do the Same'
A federal appeals court ruled last week that President Obama violated the Constitution when he made recess appointments to the National Labor Relations Board.
Republican lawmakers used a special tactic to technically stay in session during the holidays specifically so Obama could not make the recess appointments. The White House claimed the Senate was away for the holidays and not in session, but the court disagreed. The ruling is expected to be appealed to the Supreme Court.
On Fox and Friends this morning, Brian Kilmeade discussed the case with Judge Andrew Napolitano, who pointed out
that it's dangerous when the government starts picking and choosing which laws it will follow.
"It's a very serious problem when the government breaks its own laws, because when the government breaks its own laws the country becomes lawless and people think they can break the law. And when the government decides what laws to obey and what laws to disobey, government becomes a king," said Napolitano.
