WATCH: Media Outlets Leave Out Vital Audio, Claim Newtown Dad Was 'Heckled by Gun Nuts' During Testimony

Several media outlets have come out with reports following the testimony earlier in the week by the family of Newtown victims that one of the fathers was heckled by "gun nuts" during his remarks.

Neil Heslin, whose 6-year-old son Jesse Lewis was killed in the horrific Sandy Hook Elementary shooting, gave a powerful testimony that lasted approximately 15 minutes. At about 13 minutes in to his remarks, audience members interjected. However, whether or not the interjected comments were solicited is being debated.

In a clip aired by MSNBC, the

video begins with Heslin saying, "Why anybody in this room needs to have one of these assault style weapons or military weapons, or high capacity clips ... not one person can answer that question." Then, Heslin can be seen looking around the room before cross-talk is heard among those in the room.

The presiding lawmaker interrupts, saying, "Please, please no comments while Mr. Heslin is speaking or we'll clear the room."

However, in unedited video, it is evident that Heslin's remarks actually begin much earlier with a request for challenges from others. Megyn Kelly aired the video, which shows Heslin saying, "I wish, I ask if there's anybody in this room that can give me one reason or challenge this question..." before going on to give the remaining remarks showed by MSNBC and others.

"He clearly invited discussion," Kelly responded after watching the footage.

What do you think - did the audience in the room disrespect with unsolicited response? Watch the video and let us know:
