INTERVIEW: Ronda Wilbur, Neighbor of Alabama Hostage-Taker, and Local Pastor Michael Senn Talk About Kidnapping of 5-Year-Old Boy
Earlier on America's Newsroom, Martha MacCallum talked to two locals in Midland City, Alabama, where a man has been holding a five-year-old boy hostage in an underground bunker for nearly two full days.
Ronda Wilbur, a neighbor of the suspect, 65-year-old Jimmy Lee Dykes, said she already had a disturbing run-in with Dykes after he fatally beat her dog with a lead pipe. She said Dykes later bragged to her
husband about attacking the dog, and continued with his threats that he would kill anyone that entered his property.

Wilbur said Dykes was frequently out at night with a flashlight and rifle, patrolling the perimeter of his property.
Police have been negotiating with Dykes and say the boy is okay.

This afternoon on Studio B, Shepard Smith interviewed a man who says Dykes once shot at him and his mother - with his infant daughter in the truck - during a confrontation near the suspect's property. Police said Dykes was due in court this week on a menacing charge for that incident.
