VIDEO: President Obama Calls on Congress to Pass Gun Control Measures
President Obama spoke in Minneapolis Monday afternoon about measures needed to reduce gun violence and implement gun control laws. He said his main message today was, “We don’t have to agree on everything to agree it’s time to do something.”
Calling out the politics of the debate, the president addressed Congress. He said Democrats and Republicans in the Senate are working on a bill to ban anyone from selling a gun to anyone legally prohibited from owning one. “There’s no reason why we can’t get that done.
That is not a liberal idea; that’s not a conservative idea; […] that is a smart idea.”
