'He's Put All of Us As Veterans in Danger': Medal of Honor Recipient Sgt. Dakota Meyer Reacts to Ron Paul's Tweet

Following the murder of former Navy SEAL and sniper Chris Kyle this past weekend, former presidential candidate Ron Paul took to Twitter to react to the shooting by an Iraq war vet that claimed Kyle's life.

"Chris Kyle's death seems to confirm that he who lives by the sword dies by the sword. Treating PTSD at a gun range doesn't make sense," Paul tweeted.

After the tweet sparked outrage, Paul took to Facebook to issue a follow-up response after the tweet sparked outrage. "As a veteran, I certainly understand that this weekend's

violence and killing of Chris Kyle was a tragic and sad event," he wrote. "My condolences and prayers go out to Mr. Kyle's family. Unconstitutional and unnecessary wars have endless unintended consequences. A policy of non-violence, as Christ preached, would have prevented this and similar tragedies."

Sgt. Dakota Meyer, a Medal of Honor recipient who was honored just over a year ago for his service and sacrifice, says he's still not happy with Paul.

"I really couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe that someone who has [represented] our country [...] coming out and making a statement like that about someone who has served our country, I couldn't believe it," he said on 'America Live.'

"He's put all of us as veterans, he's put law enforcement all in danger ... I mean, coming out and saying this is like justifying it. It's like saying it's okay," he said, later adding, "Whether you support the war or not, Chris Kyle and no other veteran made the decision to go to war, so don't hold that against them. [...] They were just doing their jobs."
