BREAKING: Multiple People Injured, Including Children, in Shooting at Denver Home
** UPDATE ** Associated Press reports three people, including two children, were killed in the shooting. Here is the latest:
DENVER (AP) -- Denver police say two children under 10 years old and a woman were killed and a third child was wounded in an apparent shooting at a house in the northeast part of the city.
Police Lt. Matt Murray says that child is in critical condition. Investigators are waiting for a warrant to re-enter the house.
Murray says it appears to have been an
isolated shooting and there's no indication the shooter is still on the loose.
The neighborhood is in an industrial area, surrounded by warehouses and a trucking terminal, near the National Western Stock Show complex.
Neighbor Debbie Martinez says the house was recently sold.
Gregg Jarrett just reported on America's Newsroom on a breaking story out of Denver, where multiple people have been injured in a shooting. Initial reports from local station KMGH indicate a child was carried out of a Denver home on a stretcher and loaded onto a waiting ambulance.
A heavy police presence is centered on a small, flat-roofed duplex.
Denver police tweeted that there were "multiple victims" in the shooting but did not say more. There were reports on the police radio that at least three people remain in the home but they were not transported. Homicide detectives have been called to the scene.
