VIDEO: Leon Panetta Testifies on Benghazi Attack - We Did All We Could
In an opening statement at a Senate hearing on the September 11, 2012 attack on a U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta told a committee that a lack of time and proximity prevented a military response following the attack. He also told the committee that we have a "solemn responsibility" to the families of the four Americans killed in the attack to bring those people to justice and make sure it doesn't happen again
Panetta also said that U.S. officials and the Department of Defense, in particular, did all they could in responding to the attack.
