$1 Million Reward Offered for Info Leading to the Arrest and Conviction of Christopher Dorner

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa announced a $1 million dollar reward for the capture and conviction of Christopher Dorner, the ex-cop and murder suspect who has been on the run. The money for the reward comes from a number of businesses and donations in the community. "This search is not a matter of if, it's a matter of when and I want Christopher Dorner to know that," the mayor said. "We will not tolerate a killer targeting our officers and their families."

L.A. Police Chief Charlie Beck called Dorner's killings and threats an act of domestic terrorism.

Earlier, Beck announced that he would be reopening the case that led to Dorner's firing from the LAPD. He said he wasn't doing this to appease a murderer, but to ensure the public that the police department is transparent and fair.

Beck said police continue to search for Dorner in his last known locations in the Big Bear area, as well as the areas where they have known targets. There are over 50 LAPD families that have security and surveillance in and around their neighborhoods. “These 50 LAPD families are targets of Dorner’s and are likely, likely victims,” Beck said.
