Rob Morrison, CBS Anchor, Arrested for Reportedly Choking His News Reporter Wife

A CBS news anchor was arrested over the weekend for allegedly choking his news reporter wife. Rob Morrison works for WCBS in New York City and his wife, Ashley, works for CBS MoneyWatch. The New York Daily News reports that Ashley Morrison’s mother called police in Connecticut on Sunday morning.

Police say they found

red marks on Ashley’s neck and Rob was threatening his wife while they were present. CBS News reported that he was arrested on several charges including second degree strangulation. His mug shot shows what appears to be blood on his face.

The couple put out a joint statement through their lawyer, which reads, “The Morrisons are confident that a full review of this matter will show that the allegations have been greatly exaggerated.”
