Donations Flooding in for Homeless Man Who Returned a Woman's Diamond Ring
A homeless man in Kansas City is on track to make a lot of money after a stranger dropped her engagement ring in his change cup. It’s not the ring itself that’s paying off, but rather his good deed. Sarah Darling says she had taken the ring off and put it in her change purse.
Forgetting it was there, she later dropped all her change into the Billy Ray Harris’ cup. The following day, Darling realized her mistake and went back to the spot where she’d seen the man. Harris gave it back without hesitation and overcome with gratitude, Darling decided to help him out. She set up a donation website and the money has been flowing in. With 80 days left, it’s up to nearly $150,000 dollars.
