Talking Points Memo: Has Liberalism Won in America?
Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh recently put forth that because many Americans are ill-informed, liberalism has won the ideological struggle. In tonight’s Talking Points Memo, Bill O’Reilly agreed with Limbaugh that the left controls the education system, pop culture and the media.
However, the Factor host does not believe that liberal thought is dominant in the United States. O’Reilly recognized that the country is shifting
quickly into an entitlement society. “It’s not so much that apathetic Americans are embracing the tenants of the left,” O’Reilly said. “It’s just that they’re selfish and they want money for nothing.”
He believes that folks on the right and the left are in a struggle to define America. Who will come out on top and how?
