AUDIO: First 911 Calls Released From NASCAR Crash at Daytona 500
The first audio recordings surfaced Tuesday morning from 911 calls made during this past weekend's NASCAR crash that sent debris flying into stands and injuring onlookers.
"Yeah, listen - I'm in section zero ... there are two very injured people here. We've been calling for paramedics and no one's showing up," one male caller told a dispatcher.
It's estimated that 32 people were injured as a result of the crash, seven of them still hospitalized. NASCAR plans to do a thorough investigation into what happened.
