PHOTO: 8th Grader Wearing Marines Shirt Told to Remove It Because of Interlocking Rifles
An Illinois eighth-grader is facing suspension for wearing a Marines shirt to school that featured two rifles on the front. The school said that the shirt violated its dress code policy, and the boy was forced to turn it inside-out in order to remain in class.
The superintendent, however, says it doesn't actually violate the policy and that the teacher should have discussed the decision with officials before doing anything.
