Rep. Maxine Waters: 170 Million Jobs Could Be Lost Thanks to Sequester

Democrats have very vocal about the “dire” repercussions of the sequester, but California Congresswoman Maxine Waters took it to a new level Thursday.

“We don’t need to be having something like sequestration that’s going to cause these jobs losses, over 170 million jobs that could be lost,” Waters said.

That’s more than the entire American workforce. Waters misspoke, and her spokesperson later clarified that she meant 170,000 jobs.
