World Baseball Classic Turns Into All-out Brawl Between Mexico, Canada … and Fans
If you tuned in to the World Baseball Classic between Canada and Mexico, you might’ve thought you were watching a hockey game. It all started when Mexico took exception to Canada bunting for a single with a six-run lead. Things took a dramatic turn for the worse when Mexico's pitcher Arnold Leon hit Canada's outfielder Rene Tosoni with a fastball. “Benches have cleared!”
the MLB Network announcer declared. And oh boy, they sure did. Players rushed to the field in a complete melee that involved fans who were throwing drinks and other objects. If you were keeping score, Canada went on to win 10-3. Watch the video, courtesy of the MLB Netowrk:
