The student said, "We wish we could have protected ourselves with guns and stuff. We wish that the law would let us carry guns because we’re legal adults, and carry guns on campus to protect ourselves. But so far what we have to rely on is God. We’d love to have God and the law on our side.” Watch the full interview here.

UPDATE, 2:00p ET: Authorities say a suspect is in custody and there is no second suspect. They are still trying to determine a motive and the exact type of weapon that was used. Fourteen people were injured and four were serious enough to be airlifted to the hospital. The campus is on lockdown until the investigation concludes.

According to a local sheriff, the campus is safe.

UPDATE, 1:33p ET: There may have been as many as 12 people attacked. While one suspect has been arrested, a warning from the school suggests another suspect may still be at large.
