2 Years Later, and Still Missing...
Spierer was seen leaving her apartment in the early morning hours and heading to a friend’s place, but her friends say they have no idea what happened to her after that.
Mark Fuhrman, former LAPD homicide detective, compared the case to the Natalee Holloway disappearance in that he believes Spierer’s friends know something about what happened to her that they aren’t revealing. “You have a woman that is obviously inebriated, and quite possibly has been slipped some drug that she doesn’t know. I mean when drunk college kids are saying that she was really bad, then she was really bad.”
Fuhrman also said that he believes the Bloomington police are “lost” in how they are conducting the investigation. “You have to look at this as we have live witnesses as to the comings and goings of the victim before the disappearance, so you have an opportunity to separate all of these individuals that admit seeing Lauren throughout the night. And then you can actually map her movements, and then see where the statements are conflicting.”
