Would Russia and China Have Done This to Reagan or Nixon?
KT McFarland suggested that Russia and China's actions during the Edward Snowden affair are the result of weak U.S. foreign policy.
Bill Hemmer discussed the Edward Snowden mystery with Fox News national security analyst KT McFarland, who believes that the NSA leaker's latest actions prove that he is not acting as a whistleblower.
"Whistleblowers and patriots. They don't go to Russia, and China, and Cuba. Who goes to these countries? Traitors and spies," she said.
McFarland said that Russia and China are thumbing their noses at the Obama administration by publicly helping Snowden to evade U.S. authorities and neither seems to be afraid of potential consequences.
"Would Russia or China have done this to Reagan? Would they have dared to do this to Nixon?" she asked. McFarland speculated that Snowden may have given China absolute proof that the U.S. has been hacking Beijing. She made the point that China has long claimed that the U.S. is also guilty of cybercrimes, but never had the proof.
"I've got to assume Snowden's giving the Russians something equally as important."
