‘We Must Learn to Live Together Respectfully’: Jesse Jackson Condemns School Bus Beating
Over the weekend, Rev. Jesse Jackson became the first civil rights leader to comment on the brutal beating of a 13-year-old white student by three African-American teens on a school bus in Florida.
Jackson said, “We are trying to make contact with the family of the kid because we should discourage people attacking people, whether it’s black, white, white, black, black, that people should stop attacking people. We must learn to live together respectfully in a civilized way. And it becomes white, black, black white, it just makes matters worse, it does not make matters better.”
The crew from The Five discussed Jackson’s comments and why we haven’t heard anything from Reverend Al Sharpton, President Obama or Attorney General Eric Holder.
