Oregon Bartender Receives Winning Lotto Ticket as Tip
An Oregon bartender was given the tip of a lifetime. A generous customer at Conway's Restaurant and Lounge in Springfield tipped Aurora Kephart with a Keno ticket instead of cash. Well, it turns out the lottery ticket was a winner worth $17,500 dollars.
“I automatically handed him back the ticket and I was like I’m sorry, I can’t take it,” Kephart said. “And he had me sign it and said you’re the only one that can cash it now.”
The Register-Guard newspaper reported that the customer, a regular who wishes to remain anonymous, often tips Kephart with unplayed tickets for the state lottery's Keno game.
The 25-year-old said she gave the man part of the winnings. As for what she'll do with the rest of the money – Kephart said she plans on buying a couch.
