PR Campaign Will Solve ObamaCare Sign Up Problem, Law's Architect Says

ObamaCare architect Ezekiel Emanuel defended the president’s health care law today on Fox News Sunday.

Host Chris Wallace pressed Emanuel on the 10 percent error rate of, and the worry that come January 1st, many people will find out they’re uninsured.

Emanuel likened it Medicare Part D under President George W. Bush. “There were a lot of seniors who were left out and actually didn’t get their drug refills, and there were millions of people that had problems during that switchover."

He stressed that people should call insurance companies to verify that they actually signed up for insurance.

The Congressional Budget Office estimates that 2.7 million young people between the ages of 26 and 34 will need to sign up in order to fund ObamaCare. Emanuel said, “No one has launched a big PR campaign to get these people to sign up because of the problems with the federal website. We are about to launch a big PR campaign, and that I think is going to persuade a lot of people to sign up.”
