'Has This Been Your Worst Year?' Obama Takes Reporters' Questions

She cited the president's falling approval rating, the problematic ObamaCare rollout, and his failure to implement his legislative agenda.

"That's not how I think about it," he answered, vowing that he remains focused on whether his administration "is moving the ball forward for the American people."

He maintained that there has been progress on passing immigration reform.

Pace then pressed further on whether he understands that the public’s view of him has changed over the past year.

“If you’re measuring this by polls, my polls have been up and down a lot through the course of my career,” Obama said. “If I was interested in polling, I wouldn’t have run for president … I took this job to deliver for the American people, and I knew and will continue to know that there are gonna be ups and downs.”

Obama admitted that the website problems were a source of great frustration at the beginning of the rollout, but said millions will now be covered on Jan. 1 as a result of the Affordable Care Act.

“I’ve said before, I’ve run my last political race, so at this point, my goal every single day is to make sure that I can look back and say, ‘We’re delivering something.’ Not everything because this is a long haul,” Obama said.
