Duck Dynasty's Willie Robertson: 'We're Glad to Be Back to Work'
In their first television appearance since Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson was reinstated by A&E, Willie Robertson, and wife Korie, joined Bill Hemmer and Elisabeth Hasselbeck on Fox News' All-American New Year to discuss the controversy.
Phil Robertson triggered a firestorm of criticism from LGBT groups by labeling gays as sinners in a GQ interview, citing his deeply held religious beliefs. The network said it was "extremely disappointed" by the comments.
On tonight's All-American New Year, Willie said, "We're just glad to be back to work. A&E and us are fine. ... We're looking forward to getting back to making some funny shows. It's a new year..."
Korie added, "The best thing about the show is we get to do it together as a family."
The pair discussed the upcoming season, saying that we can expect to meet a few new people on the show.
Bill Hemmer asked what Phil Robertson is up to on this New Year's Eve and Willie said that he's probably asleep. Korie added that he could be watching Fox News.
