Report Blames White House For Security Lapse in Benghazi
A detailed new report blames the White House for a security lapse in Benghazi.
The House Armed Services Committee report, released today, states, “In assessing military posture in anticipation of the September 11 anniversary, White House officials failed to comprehend or ignored the dramatically deteriorating security situation in Libya and the growing threat to U.S. interests in the region.”
Rep. Martha Roby (R-Ala.), who led the investigation into Benghazi, joined Megyn on "The Kelly File" tonight to discuss the report.
Roby said the attack “does fall right at the feet of the White House, right at the feet of the commander in chief who has the responsibility over these senior national security officials and should be held accountable.”
The report also concludes that Department of Defense officials knew almost immediately that the situation in Benghazi was a terrorist attack and not a protest.
